Yes, sorry, I have not translated or done anything related to SnY since summer, and now the snow is knee deep.... Busy with real life, and not being a basement dweller. I have vacation now though, so maybe something will happen. I might also succeed in recruiting another translator. Or maybe SnY will continue this state of hiatus. Time will tell.

Another release, another editor. This time the quick editing and release of the final of the three angelbox Strawberry Panic! doujinshi is because of thetime, who volunteered to use his skills for the good of humanity. I thought about making a torrent with all three of them too but I am too lazy. Anon can do it if he wants. For the first time in more than half a year I have nothing translated and left unedited, but fear not, I have already started on something new and yuri. There has been a lot of yuri recently, and there will be in the future, but we are not a dedicated yuri group and there might be more "normal" releases to come too.

Strawberry Kiss! Finally!!

Not terribly interesting, but I am posting the script for the simoun doujinshi I did for /u/ here too. We will not be releasing this but anon editor will do the editing and you can hopefully pick it up on 4chan soon. I am just posting it here just in case. I will start translating one of the mentioned yuri doujinshi now, but I don't know how soon I can have it ready. Enjoy inori no uta while you wait, it's quite good and looong......

There was a thread on /u/ (previous post also refers to this) where I asked why people would pay to have things translated and offered to translate for free instead, and there was some discussion etc. Anyway, Sny was criticized for being slow, especially with the (too few) yuri releases. This is of course true. We have been horribly slow. And not done enough yuri. A part of the problem is that I do/did not have any good raws and that no one suggested anything. It ended up with me promising to translate a simoun doujinshi and post the translation on /u/ instead of our editors spending forever on it. I also once again requested that people send suggestions and raws.

And someone did. A kind gentleman sent the links to no less than 10 yuri doujinshi. I say we do all of them. I am sure many would like me to just post the script on 4chan and let others do the editing, instead of waiting forever on one of our editors. I however, prefer to release them in the usual way because we can then offer a finished product which I have control over, I can check for errors and make changes etc. So here is what we will do; we will try to release in the usual way, but if I have finished scripts laying around and no available editor who can edit, I promise to post the scripts here and on 4chan.

We will finish what we are already working on, but we will not start on anything else before finishing these. If anyone knows that any of them has already been done, then please tell us.

As you can see, I have changed the email address. We don't get many emails, but it was still bothersome to type the whole shounennoyorokobi etc. without any typos every time I was going to check the email. So, new address is sny000@gmail.com. I will not delete the old email(at least not for awhile), but I hope everyone will start using the new address. As always we appreciate constructive criticism. If you want to say thanks thats fine, but you can thank us even more by telling us what you liked about it or what could/should have been done differently.
I have also removed the irc since it was dead, simply not enough users and I lost interest. Sorry it has taken so long to remove it.

I have almost finished my exams and have already started translating something again. Our editors are still working on the projects I translated 3-4 months ago but with a little nagging they will hopefully finish soon so they can start on new things.

Yay, our first birthday. Here is a little birthday present from us (though it should be the other way around), our first release, ichigo no tsubomi, re-translated and re-edited. We were completely unexperienced back then and did a lot of mistakes, as well as a crappy piece of work in general, so I decided to re-do it from the start. The difference is huge so be sure not to miss it(and delete the old crappy version, please).

We were going to release the T2/Tony hayate doujinshi, I had even translated most of it, but some other group beat us to it. A shame to waste work but these things happen.

As for the future, I will be busy with exams and moving until early summer, there might or might not be another release before then, but don't expect too much. After that I will have lots of time on my hands and there will be many releases(I hope).

Edit: Forgot to mention this, we now have raws for Akiko-san to issho 2 and I will start translating it the coming weekend.

Three releases in one night!?

I almost can't believe this myself, but after 4 months without any releases you get three in one night. Yes, here are the final two Cuvie chapters. The whole manga is now scanlated. One of them, ko akuma kari, is loli(you are warned) but we said we would do them and we try to keep our promises, so here you go, if that's your thing.

Also, I would like to use this oppurtunity to point out that we really do want response and particularly constructive criticism. Tell us what you don't like, what we should do differently, and why. And of course, please point out any errors or mistakes(except spelling). This makes it much easier for us to improve. I often feel that my English is not always as good or sound as natural as it should(I'm not a native speaker), so if you find anything that sounds strange, please tell us.

New release!!

It has been far too long, but here is finally a new release. This doujinshi is one of my favourites and it definitely deserves a scanlation. Big applause to MODEM_ON_FIRE who stepped in and took over the editing when dodo left. Because of that there is a really obvious difference in style between the first and second part but both are skillfully done so it shouldn't be a problem.

The two remaining Cuvie chapters are now translated and edited but are awaiting a few corrections and adjustments. They should be released soon. We will also make a torrent of the entire manga, including the chapters not done by us.

Currently I have nothing scheduled for translation, so if you want to suggest anything, now is a good time. (But don't bother suggesting anything that contains enormous breasts, loli or other extreme fetishes. Anything that looks like it was drawn by a drunk three-year-old is also out of the question.) And if you do, please do so by email. I will browse through some C73 doujinshi and see if I find anything interesting. There are two evangelion doujinshi that looks alright, we might do those, but it's not decided. Tell us if what you think or you'll lose your chance to complain afterwards.

Problems and delays

Dodoecchi, one of our editors, has defected. This means that for all practical purposes SnY currently consists of just me and AzureFlash. Dodo was editing Sweet jam(the Kanon doujinshi) which will now be delayed indefinitely. We will finish it sometime though(I'm not letting all that translation work go to waste), maybe AzureFlash will inherit it, but currently he has many other things to work on, so the point is, don't expect it anytime soon. I'm very sorry, but it can't be helped. We should be able to release something soon though, AzureFlash is currently working on three different but related doujinshi, which we will release as one package/torrent. Look forward to a surprise. I am also almost about to start translating the remaining Cuvie chapters, it might even happen this month, but you will probably have to wait a while because of the editing queue.

Christmas update

Just a little update to let you know we are alive and active. Christmas is here, and whether you celebrate the birth of a crazy criminal who was executed around 2000 years ago, santa-san's birthday, half income-tax in December, or maybe not at all; we are sorry to announce that there will be no present from us. Three different doujinshi are currently undergoing the process commonly known as editing, and since dodo is on vacation or something like that, they are likely to remain so for another week or two. But bear with us, the kanon doujinshi is after all more than fifty pages long. I will start translating the remaining Cuvie chapters this week or the next, so you will hopefully not have to wait too long for those either. You can try to find comfort in the fact that SnY is all about quality(or is supposed to be anyway) and sweet jam will probably be our best work so far. Our ambition is not just to bring you fapping material, we want to bring you beauty and make it understandable in the process. And to add the Christmas spirit to this Christmas post, here are some images:

I'm back! Been a month since last post and more than that since last release. Sorry about that, everyone has been busy recently, and not just with the start of the autumn anime season, so things have been slow. However, this doujinshi is quite long, so no complaints please(though I will admit I translated it in a few hours about a month ago).

Anyway, Kanon. One of my favourite anime and I wish I had the time to play the game. This doujinshi is just Akiko (and Yuuichi) but there seems to be a sort of sequel by the same circle, and that one has some Nayuki in it too. It's even longer, more than fifty pages I think, but if you want us to we'll be happy to do that one too. Post a comment and tell us if it's a good idea.

We still intend to do the rest of the Cuvie - midara na soshitsu manga but it will probably have to wait until around Christmas, I think. Any procrastination is as unbearable to me as it is to you. Patience is a virtue.....

Lucky☆Star

Due to two new editors and some real effort we bring you this great Lucky Star doujinshi less than a week after I first laid my eyes upon it and only a week after our previous release. This is our 10th release. I can't promise you this pace will continue but we will try. There might be more Lucky Star doujinshi's to come. We have also decided to do the rest of the Cuvie manga but I am not sure exactly when...

Recruiting, IRC and Cuvie?

No release this time but a few other issues.
We are recruiting. We need a new editor, someone who knows how to use photoshop or similar well enough to remove and add text and can spare, very roughly estimated, an average of 1 hour a week doing so. No great skills are required but reliability is very much appreciated. Of course, anyone else feeling they have something they can contribute with is welcome but an editor is what we are in greatest need of. If you are interested, contact us, preferably via e-mail or irc.

I did not really know anything about irc until today but Entrail did and here we are. This channel is primarily for questions and chat etc. , not file transfer.

We have finally obtained the raws for the last two untranslated chapters of the Cuvie manga. (Thanks to the person who uploaded it) The question is, should we translate these two chapters too. Personally I think this manga is good, but so are many others. There are things I would rather translate than this but since all the rest has been done and so on, I am willing to do so if YOU want me to. If not, we wil use the time on other projects that are at the very least not any worse. So, should we translate these remaining chapters? If I have not seen sufficient comments, e-mails etc. expressing a desire for us to translate it, within a reasonable amount of time, we will not do it. So, it is up to you.

Yay, we're finally done! I apologize for the long wait and hope that you will find this satisfactory. Doujinshi from C72 will soon be showing up and I intend to start translating the first good Lucky Star doujinshi I can get my hands on, in other words, you have something new to look forward to. Any good Claymore doujinshi, especially yuri, also stands a good chance of being done by us, hopefully very quickly.

Still no Shana. But here is the other chapter from the h-manga midara na soshitsu that I mentioned in the previous post. With this the entire manga has been scanlated, though only these two chapters by us. Can't remember who has done the other ones. Baka-neko has access to internet again but there were some other technical difficulties so....we'll just have to see what happens.

Sorry! No Shana yet! But another release

The much promised Shana doujinshi is not done yet. Like I said in a comment to the previous post, quote following: (

If it was up to me we would have a new release every two weeks or more often. But it is not, so I complain here...which serves no purpose except as to relieve my irritation.

So there you have it. Since I am rapidly approaching despair because of this I felt the need to make a post stating that from now on we will not give any estimate as to when the next release will be . It is simply beyond my control.
Then I found a chapter of an h-manga which I translated earlier for baka-neko, then he edited it, sent it back and I promptly forgot it. So to make up for this awful delay of the Shana doujinshi I fixed a few minor issues and is now releasing it. So here is a chapter called Distortion Pedal from the manga Midara na soshitsu by Cuvie. It is one of several small story's in this manga and I think all of the others have been scanlated with the exception a chapter we have translated but not yet edited.

I make no promises but I hope that releases might be more regular once summer vacation is over.

Time for a new release. This is the doujinshi requested by baka neko , who ended up joining us as an editor and did the editing himself. But we will release it anyway, no need to waste work. It is based on kimi kiss, which is an h-game for pc, as well as short novel series, manga etc. and soon to be anime( I think). Anyway, there are a few things I did not understand but generally the story works even if you have not heard of it. Our next release, a really good Shakugan no Shana doujinshi, is almost done and should be released in a few days.

Here it is. My favourite doujinshi. It includes some great pictures before and after the story. ZEGAPAIN is a sci-fi anime with boring mecha-fighting but the rest is good. Not much more to say really, exam in a week but it will probably not affect our speed because I am a not as lazy as Entrail, who delays all our relases by playing games instead. But at least he does it, eventually. So our next release will also be eventually....

A bit later than I promised but it is quality and not quantity than counts, right? Anyway, this doujinshi is based on Miyo from Higurashi no naku koro ni, and even though I have seen the anime I will admit I did not quite get the story. But it has nice artwork. So, go ahead and download!
BTW, episode 4 of Lucky Star was pure genius. Extremely funny. That will be all for now, our next release is still going through editing but should not be very late.

About delays....

It is now nearly a month since our last release. That is quite a long time. A bit too long in my opinion. Of course, we never gave any promises about the frequency of our releases but still... So, this is a post to reassure you of the fact that we are not dead and gone and nor do we have any plans to stop doing this in the foreseeable future. If/when we quit doing this I promise you we will tell you so and not just abandon the site as it is. The reason(or excuse) for the delay is partially exams, .......and partially laziness.
But at least we have two releases in the final stages of editing and they will be completed and posted soon( a few days). So please bear with us.

I would also like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude towards those kind people who bothered to post their appreciation. Thank you, your support actually means a lot to us and helps us keep going, it shows us that someone actually appreciates the job we do with these great doujinshi's. We will always welcome both thanks and criticism, as long as it is constructive. Therefore we urge you to post a comment or send us an e-mail if there is something about our releases(or this web page) that bothers you or you would prefer different etc. It is through response and constructive criticism that we improve.

I also want to point out that we are open for requests concerning which doujinshi's we should translate. If you have or know about a doujinshi you would like to see translated into English you may inform us of it and we will see what we can do.
The criteria are as follows:
No yaoi, but yuri is fine
No other group must have scanlated it, no reason to waste work
Nothing too unusual or bizarre (don't make me say it....)
And if we do not have and are not able to procure a scan of decent quality the requester will have to supply one or we will not get anywhere.....

Also, we make no guarantees, we do not promise that we will do any given doujinshi even if there is no apparent reason not to. We do not even feel obliged to supply a reason not to. But by all means, go ahead and suggest/request.

New release (finally)

Sorry to keep you waiting but we experienced some unforeseen delays. Hopefully future releases will be more frequent. This doujinshi is based on Zero no tsukaima, a recent anime and manga featuring a boy drawn into a different world were he has to be the "servant" or tsukaima of a hot-tempered and clumsy mage, Louise. This doujinshi has little story but very nice drawings, and due to a little bit of experience the quality of this scanlation is much higher than the previous projects, so download and enjoy!

Finally, our first release! This is a Strawberry Panic! doujinshi from C71 featuring Hikari, Yaya and Tsubomi. In case you have not seen the anime or read the manga, Strawberry Panic! is about a number of girls attending an all girls school out in the country somewhere. It is completely free of men, in other words, this is a yuri doujinshi. It has a nice story and good artwork and is definetly worth a download. Please feel free to comment our release.
